Life is a Constant Cycle of Change
Unfortunately, constant change is very unsettling to personality because it feels security from stability. And since insecurity creates pain from trying to hold onto things that are not solid, we feel the distinct urge to move away from that pain. Sadly, the pain is relieved only by moving through it though instead away from it.   Ironically, you can't go over, under, or around the pain, nor ignore, deny, or dismiss it; it on goes away by figuring out the meaning of the pain and what lesson it is trying to teach.
These behaviors give you. . .
the wisdom to know the difference.
Acknowledge, understand, and finally accept the following:
 - Let go of a need to control all the things which have NEVER been within your ability to control you can ONLY control you own behavior.
 - Trust the ride and enjoy the constantly changing flow of adventures we call life.
 - The past cannot be changed, so move beyond it to create a more peaceful life.
 - Everyone uses their current level of coping skills and knowledge to choose what appears to be the best [in hindsight, not necessarily the wisest] way at the time to take care of themselves.
 - Forgive both yourself and others for being mere ignorant, imperfect humans who have previously made unwise choices and behaved badly.
 - Saying I'm sorry is meaningless without changing your behavior.
 - Frequently expressing gratitude keeps your individual reality balanced.

These choices give you. . .
the serenity to accept the things you cannot change.
Fortunately, change continually creates new opportunities to increase your wisdom by recognizing lessons from past mistakes. This is often a slow and painful process of growing, improving, and backsliding through observations and experiences. Life is a very persistent teacher though  if a lesson is not learned this time around, it definitely will be repeated, often more painfully than before! Ironically, once a certain lesson is finally learned, it's hard to understand how or even remember why you previously made such a bad choice.
These beliefs give you. . .
the courage to change the things you can.
In addition to learning from the past lessons [both yours and other's] and continuing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, using your time, energy, and money wisely will always create a better reality.
And so the real reason for and meaning of the Cycle of Constant Change is improving. . .
the wisdom to know the difference.
