Choices, Attitudes, Perceptions, and Happiness

"Life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it." — Irving Berlin
You have opportunties every day, all day long, to choose how you feel about what's going on in your life — your perception of your life — whether you consider it a devastating event, a learning experience, or a golden opportunity. Your perception reflects your hopes along with your self-confidence in achieving your dreams.
"Life is a grindstone. But whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us."
—L. Thomas Holdcraft
You get to pick your attitude about eveything though.  And that attitude will determine how hard you work toward a goal and how successful the result will be. Even if you create great success, your attitude about that success might not be postive if it doesn't meet your expectations.
"To different minds, the same world is a hell, and a heaven." — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ultimately, you end up getting exactly what you expected because your attitude and perception of your world create those expectations. Protect and guard your attitude from negative influences and information because it determines your happiness with your life.
"Our attitude toward life determines life's attitude toward us." — Earl Nightingale
You also often get the same attitude from others that you present to them, as in don't give me an attitude, I have one of my own! So take responsibility for your feelings. Don't make bad choices because of someone else's behavior or misinformation. NO ONE else ever "makes you mad" — you choose that feeling. Maintain your self-confidence regardless of other's actions. Control your feelings to attain the future your desire.
"There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative." — W. Clement Stone
Your attitude — your perception about yourself and your world — determines the size and scope of your dreams, how successful you are at achieving those dreams, and your capability to overcome adversity to reach those dreams.
