Flexibility is one of the healthiest habits, both of body and mind, that a person can practice. Shifting physically or mentally is not only useful but sometimes necessary in order to take advantage of opportunities which will improve your lifestyle and emotional well-being.
It means not only
- being capable of bending and stretching — without breaking — but also
- being willing to recognize opportunities and then adjusting to new situations, people, and conditions.
This can be not only regular stretching, flexibility, and strength exercises but changing some part of your daily routine often. This limberness of mind and body keeps you ahead of aging, depression, illness, and other people.
Additionally, being flexible means you will adjust to the inevitable changes in life much easier and less painfully than more rigid people. This openness can be scary nevertheless, but respect and appreciate yourself for having the bold courage to take steps that encourage change. Don't complain, think, or even plan it — just relax and roll with the changes.
